HeadsUp! Montessori Preschools in Pleasanton, Palo Alto, and San Jose are seeking Montessori- trained teachers for the preschool, twos, and infant-toddler classrooms at their campuses. This includes newly-certified and experienced teachers, as well as teachers with special training or skills, such as Chinese, Spanish, and music.

The ideal candidate is a "star" who understands and loves children: warm, caring, sparkling, interested, enthusiastic, committed, creative, positive, and capable. Without exception, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, fluency in English, Montessori certification (or in process), and authorization to work in the U.S. immediately (though we will support the future visa applications of highly qualified individuals).

[Candidates seeking a Montessori career, but without the training are invited to contact us.]

Compensation is competitive, based upon the successful candidate’s credentials and experience. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, medical, dental, retirement, seniority and meritorious sabbaticals, and a generous discount on child care.

HeadsUp! Montessori Preschools in Pleasanton, Palo Alto, and North San Jose offer five-day- per-week, full-time learning and care programs for infants, toddlers, twos, and preschoolers (ages 0-6). They operate year-round on a business calendar to accommodate working parents who want a learning focus in a loving environment for their children. The two schools, Emerson Montessori Schools in Pleasanton and Palo Alto, serve children in grades 1-8.

The learning program is a fusion of the HeadsUp! Approach and the Montessori curriculum. Both employ structured early learning activities and materials. Both emphasize individual choice and responsibility. The infant-toddler and twos programs consist of HeadsUp! learning games and traditional activities led by center staff members who are trained to encourage learning through play. The preschool program is directed by certified Montessori teachers who combine classic Montessori activities with creative activities, including art, music, and imaginative play. The school program is an eclectic mix of Montessori and traditional pedagogy. In addition to Chinese immersion programs in all three centers, all students from two years of age study both Chinese and Spanish.
