Peppertree Montessori

Peppertree Montessori is seeking an enthusiastic Montessori Certified individual to fill a Lead Teacher position in our Primary/Early Childhood Room. Our Primary/Early Childhood program provides care and education for children from 2 1/2 years to 6 years of age. This is a full-time position with hours being Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

· Plan and execute monthly curriculum

· Assist children with activities and lessons

· Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times

· Assist in creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children

· Be responsible for daily record keeping of lessons

· Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times

Skills

· Montessori experience

· One year of proven experience teaching Montessori classroom

· Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and the Montessori Method

· Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

· Excellent communication and instructional skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

· Current certification in Pediatric CPR/First Aid

· Knowledge of Title 22 Regulations

Education:

· Montessori Primary/Early Childhood Certification

· 12 ECE/Child Development units- must include 3 units in each of the following:

· Child Growth and Development

· Child, Family & Community

· Infants and Toddlers

· Any Child Development Curriculum Course
