The Montessori Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Course is designed to orient the new Montessori assistant teacher to the Montessori classroom, and to provide the assistant teacher with the minimum six (6) early childhood education units required by Community Care Licensing.*

Topics:

  • Montessori Philosophy - The Nature of the Child, The Role of the Adult, and The Prepared Environment
  • Prepared Environment – Health and Safety Issues, Clean, Orderly and Complete Environment
  • Nature of the Child – Sensitive Period for Order Requires
  • Ground Rules, Respectful Group Time and Orderly Transitions
  • Need for Movement Requires Support for Purposeful Movement
  • Role of the Adult – Observe and Overview the Classroom, Preparer of the Environment: To Meet the Needs of the Child
