Description:
To familiarize the adult learner with the elements of beginning a school with regulations, staff and student file requirements, facility standards and procedures, and agency reporting.

Objectives to be achieved:
The adult learner demonstrates knowledge of school/child-care governmental regulations and policies. (MACTE 4d)
The adult learner exhibits the ability to identify types of board governance structures (public, private for-profit, private nonprofit) and understand the role of the administrator within each governance structure. (MACTE 4e)
The adult learner demonstrates an understanding of the role of strategic planning and the ability to utilize this understanding for school improvement. (MACTE 4f)
