AD Program Development: Professional Development

AD.01.F Program Development:  Professional Development

               Administration Level (AMS 6.5.5.1)

                                                           

Description:

To familiarize the adult learner with personal professional development planning and school-wide professional development plan and implementation.

           

Clock hours: 16 hours.

Objectives to be achieved:

The adult learner engages in mentoring other teachers and engages in professional learning that is aligned to the school’s philosophy to promote continuous improvement as a function of professional development. (MACTE 2b)

 

The adult learner develops systems of evaluation, observation, support, and ongoing guidance of faculty & staff designed for school improvement and student success in support of professional development to support those goals . (MACTE 2c)

 

The adult learner demonstrates an understanding of the Montessori curriculum at each age level and its implementation, and communicates these expectations to the Montessori teachers at the school as a direct function of professional development. (MACTE 3b)

 

The adult learner implements and develops systems, policies, and procedures that support high-fidelity Montessori programs at all levels as communicated to the teachers as a function of professional development. (MACTE 3c)

 

Competencies to be achieved:
