Description:
The adult learner is reacquainted with foundational Montessori concepts and principles as to the nature of the child and the environment and practices that support the emergence of the potentiality of each child.

Objectives to be achieved:
The adult learner demonstrates how Montessori principles are actualized in school leadership. (MACTE 1a)
The adult learner exhibits an understanding of Montessori philosophy, methodology, and educational practice based on the developmental needs of children. (MACTE 3a)
The adult learner implements and develops systems, policies, and procedures that support high-fidelity Montessori programs at all levels. (MACTE 3c)
The adult learner develops techniques to engage and to cultivate relationships with community members, partners, and families to enhance the school climate and culture to effectively communicate Montessori Philosophy. (MACTE 3d)
The adult learner demonstrates an understanding of how indoor & outdoor environments are organized to support Montessori philosophy and to support faculty in creating and maintaining a positive Montessori learning environment. (MACTE 4b)
The adult learner demonstrates the ability to develop and to implement an effective and affordable plan to recruit and orient prospective families to the school’s Montessori culture with an understanding of the Montessori philosophy. The adult learner demonstrates the ability to develop and implement a system to encourage family retention with an emphasis on understanding the Montessori goals and its philosophy. (MACTE 4c)
The adult learner demonstrates an understanding of the role of strategic planning and the ability to utilize this understanding for school improvement with the underpinnings of the Montessori philosophy. (MACTE 4f)
